BDM Cricket traces its roots back to 1925 when late Sri B.D. Mahajan began his trade at Sialkot. He was working with his elder brothers to go into business as Cricket Bat and Hockey Stick manufacturer with ancestral experience.

In the year 1947 the whole family migrated from Sialkot Pakistan to Meerut -Uttar Pradesh in India due to partition of the County. The Family decided to continue manufacturing sports equipments afresh setting up the unit manufacturing Cricket Bat and Hockey in 1950 with a Capital of Rs. 400/- which he borrowed from the Money Lender and struggles a lot in at the initial stages. At that time the production was only 16 Bats in a day at that time and now capacity of making 600 Bats in a Day late Sri B. D. Mahajan was fortunate to get involved in business and in touch with Senior Players of that period to give them a quality of Bat of their choice around his cricket World.

The first lot of 16 Nos. bats was made and Branded “BDM” and soon they became known as ‘BDM’ Bats selling them onto dealers and Professional Players. He sought trials to fulfill his ambition as leading Bat Manufacturer and in 1967 he got the opportunity to establish the company along with his 3 Sons 1. Sudhir Mahajan 2. Sunil Mahajan 3. Rakesh Mahajan M/s. B.D. Mahajan & Sons and later on in 1986 changed as M/s. B.D. Mahajan & Sons Pvt Ltd.
